KT Power is a family-run diesel repair shop built on trust, skill, and hard work. Founded by Kevin Thomas in 1998, we’ve been delivering honest, high-quality service for decades.
Our Story
KT Power was built from the ground up starting in 1985 when Kevin Thomas began doing diesel side work while working for industry leaders like Cummins and Detroit Diesel. Word of his skill, reliability, and no-nonsense work ethic spread fast, and by 1998, he turned that side hustle into a full-time shop built on trust and results.
Today, KT Power proudly serves diesel trucks with the same dedication that started it all.
Meet the Team
Kevin is a Class A mechanic with multiple certifications and decades of hands-on experience. He’s passionate about bringing engines to life starting with a bare block and building it up piece by piece. He works alongside his brother, Charles Thomas, also a Class A mechanic, who brings years of Freightliner experience and deep technical knowledge. Together, they form a powerhouse team built on family, skill, and a shared commitment to doing things the right way.They’re also joined by Bricy Dial, an 85-year-old welder and seasoned mechanic who’s been with KT Power for over four years. With welding experience dating back to 1980 and a lifetime of mechanical knowledge, Bricy brings unmatched precision and perspective to the shop. Whether he’s laying down a perfect bead or sharing stories from his decades in the trade, he’s a valued part of the team and a reminder that skill never ages.
